Rafael Chavez
Rafael's career in art began in 1983, when he took a class in drawing and painting from Armando Manriquez at the La Paz Cultural Center. This first experience led to further study in painting at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas, in Guadalajara, Jalisco. After graduating, Rafael returned to La Paz and focused on painting, inspired by the natural beauty of Baja California Sur first in his watercolors, later in acrylics. Whether it's a lonely stretch of dune cast in late afternoon shadows or a coral reef washed in rays of sunlight, Rafael's paintbrush captures the moment.
